These standards include constant access to clean drinking water and sufficient age-specific feed, checking the physical condition of the sheep, good air exchange in the barn, no branding and strict requirements for castration and stunning. Most importantly, RWS certified merino wool is mulesing free. Which means that the painful procedure to remove embedded fly larvae is omitted.

OEKO-Tex

OEKO-Tex certification stands for strict environmental and social standards. This means that our merino wool has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for both the wearer and the environment. The seal confirms that the merino underwear does not contain any harmful chemicals that could cause skin irritation or allergies. Another important aspect is the durability and ease of care of OEKO-Tex certified merino wool. Due to its high quality and careful processing, it is more resistant to wear and tear and can withstand frequent washing and wearing better than inferior wools. This also ensures a smaller ecological footprint, as new clothes need to be bought less often.
