Polar fleece

In the production of fleece, loops are knitted first, which are later cut open. This causes the fine microfiber filaments to pop up and be sheared to the desired pile height. Body heat is stored in the air chambers contained in the fleece. The number and size of these air chambers provides information about the loft of the fleece. The following applies: the more, the better the heat output. The polar freece we use has a grammage of 300 g/m², it is one of the most robust fleece materials in terms of warmth, weight and breathability. In comparison, polar fleece is very light compared to other fabrics, but still offers a high level of thermal insulation. Cold winds hardly get through the material, and thanks to the air chambers in the fleece, your own body heat is stored inside for a long time. The resulting heat retention allows the vest to be worn in temperatures below freezing, but the air chambers in the polar fleece also impress on warmer days with their high water vapor permeability, so that moisture is quickly wicked away to the outside. The versatile material is suitable for sports activities in summer as well as for insulation against the winter cold. The smooth and soft surface also ensures a pleasant feel
