Our merino wrap bodysuit "Kaitaia" is more than just a simple baby bodysuit with long sleeves. Behind its simple appearance lies a garment that is perfect for all weather conditions. With a grammage of 200 g/m², this bodysuit offers optimum thermal insulation, making it the ideal warming layer under other clothing in winter. The bodysuit can also be worn on its own in summer thanks to its natural thermoregulation. The heat regulation and breathability of merino wool allow your baby to wear the bodysuit all day long - whether playing or napping. The soft merino wool is particularly gentle on your baby's sensitive skin and does not cause skin irritation. The merino fibre is also odour-neutralizing, so the body stays fresh even after repeated wear. The elasticity of merino wool ensures maximum freedom of movement when playing. The swaddle bodysuit is characterized in particular by the fact that it does not have to be pulled over your baby's head, but is wrapped around your baby. In addition, the bodysuit is equipped with high-quality branded press studs from YKK between the legs and on the sides, which ensure reliable opening and closing and make changing nappies easier. The bodysuit is rounded off with a child-friendly, fluffy sheep stick that serves as an eye-catcher.
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)
Animal welfare is particularly important to us in the production of our merino wool. For this reason, we only choose RWS-certified merino wool for our production. However, the seal not only certifies the sheep's wool itself, but also the entire supply chain. The seal certifies both fair working conditions and payments for their employees, the renunciation of exploitation and child labor, as well as standards for the sheep kept. These standards include constant access to clean drinking water and sufficient age-specific feed, checking the physical condition of the sheep, good air exchange in the barn, no branding and strict requirements for castration and stunning. Most importantly, RWS certified merino wool is mulesing free. Which means that the painful procedure to remove embedded fly larvae is omitted.
OEKO-Tex Standard 100
The OEKO-Tex certification stands for strict environmental and social standards. This means that our merino wool has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for both the wearer and the environment. The seal confirms that the merino wool does not contain any harmful chemicals that could cause skin irritation or allergies. Another important aspect is the durability and ease of care of OEKO-Tex certified merino wool. Due to its high quality and careful processing, it is more resistant to wear and tear and can withstand frequent washing and wearing better than inferior wools. This also ensures a smaller ecological footprint, as new clothes need to be bought less often.
