The retaining valve prevents air from being lost during lowering and you can fine-tune the setting using the flat valve equipped with a non-return valve. The choice of a soft or harder lying surface is up to you. The flat valve does not interfere with sleeping and is fully open when deflated within a few seconds. The air mattress can be folded twice lengthwise and rolled up to the size of a water bottle and stored in the bag. A real must-have for weight-optimized outdoor tours or long-distance expedition tours.
The 3 Seasonal mat from spring to fall can be used in temperatures close to freezing. The light weight, which is not a problem in a rucksack, and the reduced pack size make the mat a pleasant travel companion. The TPU coating gives the 40D nylon material its waterproofness as well as its tear and puncture resistance. The air mattress can be inflated by mouth, or conveniently with the pump bag or a mini pump.
The strikingly corrugated TPU surface with lots of individual, small, round and square chambers not only makes the small pack size possible, but also makes it more comfortable. Each individual chamber can be individually shaped to the respective center of gravity. Although the chambers are interconnected, they are still independent of each other. This effective adjustment system allows body weight and -shape over several cells. The result is excellent lying comfort.
