Recycled polyester
At normani OUTDOOR SPORTS, we try to act sustainably with priorities and our own interests in mind with new, sensible manufacturing processes. Alongside design and function, sustainability is one of our core values. We have agreed on a modern recycling process with our supplier and system partner in order to recycle the fabric used for the outer material of our "Tacoma" rain trousers. 100 % from PET bottles. Depending on the size of the trousers, approx. 6 PET bottles are recycled per pair of trousers. The recycled filament is obtained by grinding, washing, melting, repolymerizing, spinning and texturing PET bottles and finally processed into yarn. PET recycling enables us to save resources, reuse waste and avoid the use of fossil raw materials.

OEKO-Tex Standard 100
The OEKO-Tex certification stands for strict environmental and social standards. This means that our rainwear for children has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for both the wearer and the environment. The seal confirms that no harmful chemicals such as heavy metals, pesticides or allergenic dyes are contained in the clothing. In addition, OEKO-Tex certification also stands for environmentally friendly production processes that use fewer harmful substances and resources.

PFC free
Sustainability is particularly important to us in the production of our children's rainwear. Therefore, non-biodegradable, harmful phthalates (plasticizers) are completely avoided. We do not use perfluorinated and fluorinated chemicals (PFCs). These do not decompose on their own, are released into the environment when clothes are washed and affect the hormone systems of many living organisms.
